Gold Clover Standard
Each piece is carefully reviewed against our standards for curation. Together, these standards provide a consistent framework for determining whether a piece has earned its place in the Maison.
AUTHENTICITY
Is the piece genuine?
Every piece begins with authentication. Identifying details, construction, materials, hardware, markings, and other relevant characteristics are reviewed, with professional third-party authentication used as appropriate. A piece must satisfy our authenticity requirements before it can receive Gold Clover Certification.
CONDITION
How well has the piece been preserved?
We evaluate the piece as it exists today, looking closely at its exterior, interior, structure, corners, edges, hardware, handles, straps, and other relevant components. Signs of wear are considered individually and as part of the piece's overall presentation so patrons can understand its condition before purchasing.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
How well has the piece endured?
Luxury is more than a name. We consider the quality and integrity of the materials and construction that remain—including stitching, structure, leather or textile, hardware, finishing, and functional components. This assessment helps distinguish ordinary wear from issues that materially affect the piece's quality or longevity.
PRESENTATION
Is it ready to enter the Maison?
The final assessment considers the piece as a whole. It should be clean, properly prepared, accurately represented, and presented in a manner appropriate to its craftsmanship and value. Relevant accessories, documentation, condition disclosures, and photography contribute to this evaluation.
GOLD CLOVER CERTIFICATION
Together, these four pillars form the Gold Clover Standard: Authenticity, Condition, Craftsmanship, and Presentation.
Exceptionality of each piece may vary.
Once a piece meets the Gold Clover Standard, its overall evaluation determines its certification level: Certified, Select, or Signature.
